Solute is a recognised expert in the area of business case development in the ICT, Property, Transport, and Government services markets.
The basic principle of the Solute business case methodology is that all business cases are developed iteratively. This means that all business cases start with a 'back of the envelope', high level estimate and only drill down to further detail if and where required. The iterative development approach is based on a 10 step process.
If the project doesn’t stack up then alternate ways can be investigated to achieve the desired outcome.
Solute's methodology is consistent with other iterative methodologies such as the HM Treasury Five Case Model and the Queensland Government Project Assurance Framework.
Role
Solute's role on a business case assignment is to provide the process and the experience to facilitate the investment decision. Solute will manage and guide the collation of the data required to:

- Differentiate between options

- Moreton Bay Rail Link Project: Queensland Transport and Main Roads – Business case for the construction of a passenger rail line. ($1billion)
- National Heavy Vehicle Regulator Project (Queensland Transport and Main Roads) – Business case to establish a National Heavy Vehicle Regulator to administer a single national system of laws for heavy vehicles in order to achieve the efficient, productive and safe operation of heavy vehicles throughout Australia
